Cyrus turned to her and asked, “Got any ideas?”
Noelle nodded.
“Maybe I can find something!”
Mekhi had always wanted her to move into the Shaw family mansion.
She could move in and lend a hand to Lucinda in uncovering the truth.
Even though her father had passed away, his study and bedroom remained untouched. It was said that Mekhi had instructed the staff to clean those rooms daily. Perhaps there were some clues waiting to be discovered.
“You’ve just discovered your true identity, and now you’re thinking of taking such a risk? Remember, Kyson is your half-brother. Even if he’s an illegitimate child of your father, he’s still part of the Shaw family. If Mekhi finds out, he won’t let you go!”
“No, Mekhi won’t do anything to me. He’s been good to me. He always feels like he owes me. Even if he finds out, he won’t harm me. Don’t worry!” Noelle reassured.
With only three days left and time ticking, Noelle wasted no time.
That afternoon, she informed Mekhi that she was moving back to the Shaw family mansion.

Noelle inquired and discovered that the mansion was sparsely populated. Her elder brother and father had passed away, while her third brother was living abroad and rarely visited.
Only her mother and unmarried younger sister, Sally, resided there.
Mekhi himself only made occasional appearances.

Looking embarrassed, the butler lowered his gaze and replied, “That’s an order from your brother. You’re new here, and the Shaw family’s matters are quite complex. He will explain it to you personally in due time. For now, just follow his instructions.”
Noelle stared at him silently for a while, not uttering a word.
It seemed that the Shaw family’s affairs were far more intricate than she had initially imagined. Yet Mekhi hadn’t disclosed any of this to her.
